Security Officer – Full-Time
Location: Chatswood, NSW
Industry: Large Indoor Shopping Centre within the retail industry.
Positions Available: Full-time
Potential Earnings / Award Level: Level 2
About the Role
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role involves a mix of patrols, incident response, and client‐facing duties.
Shifts
Weekday and weekend | Day and night shifts
Roster (example):
Monday to Saturday – 09:00am to 09:00pm
Sunday – 11:00am to 09:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols/roaming to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets
- Provide a professional and approachable security presence
- Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance
- Identify and assess risks, taking appropriate action in line with procedures
- Adhere to all site and company security protocols
- Obtain complete and detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Maintain traffic control in loading docks
About You
- A valid Security Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Previous security experience (retail experience highly regarded)
- Availability to work day/night and weekday/weekend shifts
- Good physical fitness, as patrols are required
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- A reliable and punctual work history
- Full Australian working rights
