Key responsibilities

  • Keep the internal team informed of any delivery changes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including pricing reviews, price-increase updates and assessing new suppliers before opening accounts.

  • Build BOMs according to technical specifications and the scope of works for each trailer.
  • Assist with job costing, making sure material costs are accurately captured against each job.
  • Prepare presentations on inventory, procurement savings and other related operational reports.

About you

  • 3+ years in purchasing, procurement or supply chain, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience building BOMs and managing stock in an ERP system.
  • Solid understanding of job costing and how material costs flow through to margin.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and parts lists (heavy vehicle trailer exposure is a plus).
  • Strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Confident negotiating with suppliers and following up until parts arrive.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.
