Make a difference where safety, security and patient care come together. Join the team at Coffs Harbour Health Campus as a Casual Health and Security Assistant in both Wardsman and Security, helping create a safe, secure and supportive environment for patients, visitors and staff.
About the role
- You’ll provide a visible security presence across the hospital, responding to incidents, alarms and security requests while supporting clinical teams with patient transfers, equipment movement and general patient care.
- You’ll also assist with cleaning, infection control and maintaining a safe environment across the campus.
About you
- Current NSW Class 1A Security Licence, Senior First Aid Certificate and Driver Licence
- Confident managing challenging behaviours, aggressive incidents and duress situations
- Calm, professional and able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Flexible and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of WHS, safe manual handling and infection control practices
- Available for a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and all shifts
- Comfortable working in a hospital environment, including the morgue
