Move Into the Part of Property Law That's Only Getting Bigger
Retirement living isn't just a niche - it's one of the few areas of property law with guaranteed long‐term growth. Australia's population is ageing, operators are expanding, and the work behind these developments is becoming more sophisticated every year. This Senior Associate role gives you a front‐row seat inside a team that's already deeply established in the space.
The Role
You'll work closely with experienced practitioners on a broad mix of retirement living and property transactions, including:
- Acquisitions, disposals, leasing and development projects
- Drafting and negotiating commercial and property agreements
- Managing due diligence for property and commercial transactions
- Advising on retirement village structures, compliance and operator arrangements
- Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the team's development
This is a role with genuine variety, strong internal support and exposure to work that is only becoming more sought‐after across the market.
Lawyers with retirement village experience are strongly encouraged to apply, but commercial property lawyers with an interest in the sector will also be considered.
The Team
You'll be joining a practice with one of Melbourne's most established footholds in the retirement living space - a team known for high‐quality work, strong leadership, hybrid working and genuine investment in career development.
Benefits
You'll be joining a firm that genuinely backs its people - with flexibility, professional development and wellbeing at the center of its culture, offering;
- Hybrid Working (3:2 remote model), with options for additional flexibility
- Lucrative and achievable bonus structure
- WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality
