Job Description:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for distribution projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documents.
- Complete quantity take-offs for labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist with pricing strategies, project planning and construction methodologies.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities during tender preparation.
- Support bid submissions, clarifications and client responses.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and delivery teams throughout the tender process.
The Successful Applicant:
A successful Estimator should have:
- Experience as an Estimator, Junior Estimator or Project Engineer.
- Background in utilities, electrical construction or civil infrastructure.
- Exposure to electrical distribution network projects highly regarded.
- Understanding of overhead and underground electrical infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
