As a Nurse Practitioner within the Statewide Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Telehealth Service, you will provide advanced nursing care and clinical leadership in the specialty area of Sexual Health Medicine. Working autonomously and collaboratively within an interprofessional team, you will deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing and ongoing management for consumers accessing HIV prevention services across Queensland through an innovative telehealth model.
This role plays a key part in improving equitable access to HIV prevention services, particularly for Medicare-ineligible people who may face barriers to accessing traditional healthcare. You will contribute to the ongoing development of nurse-led models of care, provide specialist consultation and clinical leadership, and support evidence-based practice, research and service improvement initiatives within the Metro North Sexual Health and HIV Service.
