Senior Business Development Manager – AWS Consulting Services
Sydney | A$250,000 base + A$200,000 commission | A$450,000 OTE
Method Recruitment is partnering with an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and Managed Service Provider to hire an experienced new-business seller.
The business delivers cloud migration, application modernisation, data, AI, FinOps and managed services. It’s looking for someone who can open doors across the Australian mid-market, build productive AWS relationships and personally drive opportunities through to close.
The role
You’ll combine direct prospecting with AWS co-sell activity, working alongside architects and delivery specialists to turn customer priorities into consulting engagements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building a territory plan and generating pipeline through outreach, referrals, events and AWS collaboration.
- Developing relationships with AWS sellers, account managers and solution architects, including joint account planning.
- Leading discovery and qualifying customer needs, budget, sponsorship and buying processes.
- Coordinating solution design, proposals, pricing and statements of work.
- Owning commercial negotiation, contracting and accurate forecasting.
- Using AWS opportunity registration and relevant funding programs to support deals.
Your background
You’re a proven hunter with experience selling consulting projects and managed services, ideally within an AWS consulting partner.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated success personally generating pipeline and closing new logos.
- Established AWS field relationships and practical co-sell experience.
- Confidence managing the full sales cycle, including proposals, SOWs and negotiations.
- Working knowledge of cloud migration, modernisation, data and AI.
- An entrepreneurial approach and comfort working in a growing, less structured consultancy.
