We’re looking for a Retail Trainer to join the Total Tools team and make a real impact on the capability, confidence and performance of our store teams across South Australia and Western Australia. Through engaging training, coaching and on-the-floor support, you’ll help team members deliver exceptional customer experiences, provide trusted advice and turn product knowledge into sales opportunities.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll bring learning to life through a mix of face-to-face workshops, virtual training and in-store coaching. If you love developing people, creating training that actually sticks and seeing the results of your coaching in store performance, this could be the perfect opportunity. You’ll regularly travel across both South Australia and Western Australia, spending equal time supporting stores in each state.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging face-to-face and virtual training across our store network in SA and WA.
- Coach team members on the shop floor to improve customer service, sales skills and product confidence.
- Create training programs and learning resources that are practical, engaging and easy to apply.
- Partner with store leaders to identify capability gaps and drive development initiatives.
- Support new team member onboarding and ongoing skills development.
- Build strong relationships across the store network and provide ongoing coaching and support.
You're Likely a Match If You Have
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills that drive behaviour change.
- Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
- Ability to influence, engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
- Understanding of retail, customer service and sales principles.
- Self-motivated and comfortable travelling across SA and WA.
While product knowledge within hardware or tools would be beneficial, training and coaching experience will be highly regarded, particularly where it has helped build team confidence, improve customer interactions and drive stronger sales outcomes.
