We are seeking an experienced family lawyer with approximately 7–8 years’ post-admission experience to join our team. This role would suit a confident practitioner who enjoys taking ownership of matters, building strong client relationships and contributing to the development of a practice.

About the role:
You will manage family law matters from initial consultation through to resolution. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload involving property settlements, parenting arrangements, divorce, de facto relationships and financial agreements.
- Providing clear, strategic advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.
- Drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits, consent orders and agreements.
- Representing clients in court appearances, mediations and negotiations, and briefing counsel as required.
- Maintaining strong client communication, including updates on progress, costs and next steps.
- Managing deadlines, billing and the financial performance of your matters.
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to improvements in practice processes.
About you:
You will bring:
- Approximately 7–8 years’ post-admission experience, with substantial experience in Australian family law.
- A current NSW practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.
- The ability to independently manage matters, including complex financial and parenting disputes.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Sound judgment and a practical approach to resolving disputes.
- An empathetic, professional manner when supporting clients through sensitive situations.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
- Experience using Clio would be advantageous.
