Melbourne Girls Grammar is seeking a knowledgeable, innovative and engaging Violin Teacher to join our collaborative Music Faculty as a Music Itinerant.
This casual position supports the delivery of the School's Music Program through individual tuition across the Junior and Middle years
Music is a vibrant and exciting aspect of co-curricular life at Melbourne Girls Grammar – our students perform in a wide range of ensembles across age, year and instrument levels.
About the Role
- Casual position.
- Assisting in the Year 2/3 String Program
- Individual lessons in Junior and Middle Years
- Opportunity to develop a bigger teaching load based on student enrolments in the future.
- The Successful Applicant Will Bring
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Violin pedagogy.
- Experience teaching individual Violin lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Experience working with students across Years 5 to 12.
- A passion for music education and the ability to engage, inspire and motivate young people.
- An inclusive and strengths-based approach to teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic Music Faculty.
