Growth and Partnership Manager – Account Growth | Medicolegal

MEDirect | Victoria | Home-based remote

Know personal injury, insurance or legal services? Bring your industry experience into a role where relationships drive growth.

You might be an experienced case manager or personal injury insurance professional looking for your next step, working as BD in an aligned space such as rehab, risk or insurance broking, or a senior paralegal who understands the importance of getting the right medical expertise at the right time. Or you may already manage client relationships within the medicolegal sector. Do you enjoy understanding a client’s business, identifying opportunities and turning strong relationships into measurable commercial growth?

MEDirect is seeking a Victorian-based Partnership Manager to retain and grow an established client portfolio, reconnect with inactive accounts and help more referrers make MEDirect part of their everyday practice.

About MEDirect

MEDirect has grown to become Australia’s largest digital-first medicolegal platform, connecting lawyers, insurers, employers and government agencies directly with medical experts across the country.

Our platform supports access to independent medical assessments and trusted, court-ready reports through secure, streamlined and transparent workflows.

We’re an AI-first business. Technology, automation and practical problem-solving are central to how we work, and we support our people to build these capabilities as we grow.

About the role

Reporting to Greg Freeman, Head of Growth & Partnerships, you’ll own the relationships and commercial performance of your assigned client portfolio.

Your focus will be retaining clients, increasing assessment bookings, expanding relationships within existing accounts and reactivating firms that have stopped booking.

You’ll work alongside a Business Development Manager, who owns new-business acquisition and initial activation, taking ownership of accounts as they transition into ongoing partnership management.

This is a hands-on commercial role combining proactive phone engagement, account planning and client meetings. You’ll have clear ownership of your portfolio and accountability for its growth.

What you’ll do

  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and day-to-day referrers across your portfolio.
  • Develop account plans and lead regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities and address retention risks early.
  • Expand MEDirect’s use across additional teams, practice groups and office locations within existing accounts.
  • Reconnect with dormant clients, understand what has changed and convert renewed engagement into bookings.
  • Make proactive outbound calls and respond to portfolio enquiries as a core part of your day.
  • Connect clients with relevant medical experts, matching their needs with available specialties and assessment opportunities.
  • Own commercial escalations and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain client confidence.
  • Use CRM data and account insights to prioritise activity, track outcomes and inform medical expert recruitment.
  • Represent MEDirect at client meetings, business reviews and industry events as required.

What you’ll bring

  • A sound understanding of personal injury, workers compensation, motor accident claims or the medicolegal environment.
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to communicate confidently with legal, insurance and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience managing a caseload, client portfolio or competing stakeholder needs, with reliable organisation and follow-through.
  • The confidence to engage senior stakeholders, identify commercial opportunities and follow through.
  • A proactive approach to phone-based relationship management, including structured outbound activity.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and account-planning skills, supported by disciplined CRM use.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership and adapt as a growing business evolves.
  • A willingness to learn and use AI tools in your daily work, taking responsibility for the accuracy and quality of your output.

Existing relationships across Victoria’s personal injury, legal or insurance sectors would be highly valued.

What success looks like

You’ll grow assessment bookings from existing clients, retain valuable accounts, bring dormant clients back into active use and deepen MEDirect’s relationships across your portfolio.

We value relationship quality alongside clear commercial outcomes, consistent follow-through and ownership.

  • Take ownership of a client portfolio within Australia’s largest digital-first medicolegal platform.
  • Work from home in Victoria, with client visits, business reviews and industry events as required.
  • Have a clear commercial remit and visibility of the impact you make.
  • Contribute client insights that inform platform improvements and medical expert recruitment.
  • Build practical AI capability through training, workshops and the MEDirect AI Learning Hub.
  • Work closely with accessible leaders and colleagues who value accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Receive the equipment and cloud tools you need to work effectively.
