Physiotherapist | MSK, Sports Rehab & Manual Therapy
Appointments that give you time to treat properly
Initial consults of 45 to 60 minutes. Follow ups of around 30. If you’ve worked somewhere that keeps you on a tight clock, this is a different way to practise. It’s an established, owner-led private practice that has been treating its local community for over a decade. It’s looking for a physio who prefers using their hands and their exercise prescription over leaning on machines, and who can support the principal physio by taking on part of the caseload.
What the practice looks like
- A small, friendly team: the principal physio, two other therapists and a receptionist
- Walk-ins are welcome and no referral is needed, so your diary has real variety
- Mostly adult and musculoskeletal patients, including neck and back pain, sports injuries and general MSK presentations, from weekend players through to serious competitors
- Optional home visits for those who’d like extra variety, with fuel paid for by the clinic
- After hours appointments available
- In-house remedial massage therapists, so patients can be referred internally
- Private health (HICAPS on site), WorkCover and NDIS patients in the mix, with NDIS mostly seen through home visits
- Led by a principal physio with a background in elite sport, with a focus on education so patients understand their condition and leave with a plan
What you’ll be doing
- Assessing and treating MSK conditions using manual therapy and targeted exercise prescription
- Taking on part of the principal physio’s caseload
- Building clear rehab plans that get people back to work, sport and daily life
- Educating patients so they can manage their recovery between sessions
- Working with sports and workplace injuries, including WorkCover claims
- Attending home visits if you’d like a mix of settings
- Keeping accurate notes and communicating with referrers and funding bodies
What we’re looking for
- AHPRA registered Physiotherapist
- Private practice experience, or a strong interest in moving into it
- Confident hands-on skills, including manual therapy, alongside exercise based rehab
- Clear communicator who explains things in plain language
- Comfortable with a varied caseload across different ages and settings
- Open to new graduates through to experienced clinicians, with the package matched to experience
What’s in it for you
- Longer consults, so you can assess properly and treat well
- Flexible days and hours. The clinic is open 9am to 6:30pm, a 10am start is fine, and part-time is welcome if you’d like to ease in
- A varied caseload across sport, workplace injury and optional home visits
- Fuel paid for by the clinic on home visits
- Referral pathways to on-site massage therapistsA supportive, established, local practice that is community focused
- Competitive package based on experience
Why Bankstown
