At Medibank Group, our brands, Medibank, ahm and Amplar Health, are united by a shared purpose: creating the best health and wellbeing for Australia.

We're building a workplace where people can thrive, grow and make a meaningful impact, while helping shape a healthier future for our customers, patients and communities.

We’re looking for a strategic and influential Squad Lead to shape the systems, tools and ways of working that enable teams across Medibank to plan, govern, deliver and measure change effectively.

As our Squad Lead for System of Work Tooling, you’ll own the vision, strategy, governance and evolution of Medibank’s enterprise delivery system and integrated Atlassian ecosystem.

This includes the products, configurations, workflows, data models, automations and AI capabilities that underpin delivery across the organisation.

You’ll work across Delivery Excellence, Technology, Product, Risk and business teams to create a connected, scalable and transparent delivery experience.

Your focus will be on making it easier for teams to deliver great outcomes while strengthening governance, improving decision-making and reducing unnecessary manual effort.

Applications for this role will close on the 8th of November.

The Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for Medibank’s enterprise delivery system.
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog based on business value, user needs, operational performance and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of the integrated Atlassian toolchain, supporting products and associated integrations.
  • Set platform architecture, configuration, workflow, permissions and operating standards.
  • Build a trusted enterprise delivery data model that connects strategic objectives, portfolios, initiatives, teams and outcomes.
  • Deliver meaningful dashboards, reporting and insights that support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Lead the adoption of AI and automation across planning, delivery, governance and reporting activities.
  • Explore and implement Atlassian AI, Rovo, intelligent agents and automated workflows.
  • Improve the user experience through thoughtful onboarding, training, support and feedback mechanisms.
  • Embed practical governance, auditability, traceability and risk-in-change requirements into the delivery system.
  • Lead and develop a small direct team while influencing a much broader community of delivery practitioners and stakeholders.

About you

  • Experience leading complex delivery systems, technology platforms or enterprise products.
  • Strong knowledge of modern delivery practices, including agile and lean ways of working.
  • Experience working with Atlassian products, integrated toolchains, workflows and platform configuration.
  • The ability to translate enterprise requirements into practical, scalable product capabilities.
  • Strong strategic planning, prioritisation and roadmap development skills.
  • Experience using delivery metrics, data and insights to improve performance and outcomes.
  • An understanding of automation and AI opportunities within enterprise delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to create alignment across diverse groups.
  • Experience navigating ambiguity and balancing competing organisational priorities.
  • A practical understanding of governance, assurance, risk, security, privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and capability-development skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge established ways of working.
