For over 30 years, Medetec has supported dental practices and healthcare providers across South Australia with the installation, servicing and repair of specialist equipment. As part of the privately owned Miller Dental Group, we combine the experience of an established technical business with the resources and stability of a larger healthcare organisation. We are seeking a Junior Field Service Technician to join our Adelaide-based service team. This is an opportunity for someone with mechanical or electrical aptitude who wants to develop specialist technical skills in an industry where reliability, precision and professional service matter.
The Position
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of dental chairs, imaging systems and associated clinical equipment.
- Undertake preventative maintenance and equipment servicing at client premises and in our workshop.
- Develop fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Work with equipment from recognised manufacturers including A-dec, MELAG, Cattani, NSK and Belmont.
- Represent Medetec professionally when dealing with clinicians, practice managers and healthcare operators.
About You
We are interested in candidates who demonstrate practical ability, sound judgement and a genuine interest in technical work. You will need a current Australian driver's licence, the ability to undertake physical work safely and a willingness to learn from experienced technicians. A background or qualification in electronics, plumbing, mechanical trades or biomedical equipment would be advantageous, although previous dental industry experience is not essential.
