We are seeking a Medical Receptionist Casual to join the team at Medeco Medical Centre Inala. This is a casual position based in Inala QLD 4077, offering flexibility for the right candidate. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our medical centre and the delivery of quality patient care.
Key responsibilities:
- Greeting and registering patients upon arrival at the medical centre
- Answering and directing telephone enquiries promptly and courteously
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments using Best Practice
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with privacy regulations
- Coordinating patient referrals and managing correspondence with other healthcare providers
- Assisting with administrative tasks including photocopying and data entry
- Providing information about medical services and clinic procedures to patients
- Managing waiting areas to ensure a clean, organised and welcoming environment
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role
- Experience in Best Practice software but not essential
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach to interacting with patients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry practices
- Understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements within healthcare settings
