Skilled Labourer – Commercial Gutter Cleaning & Building Services
Mechfield FM are seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our team in, specialising in commercial gutter cleaning and building maintenance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical, hands‐on experience who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Working across a variety of commercial client sites, you'll undertake a diverse range of maintenance activities while developing your skills and experience within the facilities maintenance industry.
Responsibilities
- Operating specialised industrial wet/dry vacuum equipment to clean gutters, downpipes and roof drainage systems across various commercial buildings.
- Performing gutter cleaning using elevated work platforms (EWPs) and other approved access equipment.
- Carrying out general labouring and maintenance activities across commercial building services.
- Assisting qualified tradespeople with various maintenance, installation and repair works.
- Supporting site preparation, equipment handling, cleaning and general property maintenance.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures, particularly when working at heights.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles in a clean and safe condition.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- Previous gutter cleaning experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience in general labouring, building maintenance, construction or facilities management.
- Australian citizenship is essential due to the contractual and security requirements of our clients.
- Working at Heights, White card and EWP High Risk Work License, or willingness to obtain.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- A reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and workplace safety.
- A willingness to learn new skills, undertake additional training and expand your capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
