- Reports to: Clinical Director of Medicine
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Provision of renal services to patients under direct care
- Supervision of haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis units
- Collaboration with other medical units for patient care
- Conducting various clinics and ward rounds
- Maintaining thorough medical records
- Teaching and training medical students
- Participating in quality improvement activities
- Involvement in research projects
- Collaboration with colleagues for service improvement
- Compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Documentation in patient notes
- Professional behavior with staff, patients, and visitors
- Continuing medical education and professional development
- Performance management and competency assessment
Essential
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with Nephrology sub-specialty
- Experience in a public hospital setting
- Specialist recognition for billing patients
- Willingness to participate in quality assurance activities
Desirable
- Intervention nephrology skills
- Research experience
- Teaching and training experience
- Commitment to medical education
