About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with at least 3 years post admission experience to join our Brisbane office at an Associate or Senior Solicitor level.

You’ll manage your own files and client relationships with a high level of autonomy across a broad range of family law matters, including property settlements, parenting matters and divorce.

You’ll work alongside an experienced Family Law Director, providing the opportunity to collaborate on matters, exchange ideas and draw on each other’s experience, while maintaining autonomy over your own practice.

You’ll also mentor and supervise junior lawyers, providing guidance and support across their work and professional development.

As our Brisbane presence continues to grow, you’ll play an important role in the development of the office, building professional relationships and contributing to the growth of our Family Law practice.

  • Provide practical and strategic advice to clients.
  • Draft court documents, agreements, correspondence and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers.
  • Build strong client and professional relationships and contribute to the growth of the Brisbane practice.

About You

  • Strong family law knowledge, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • The ability to manage files and client relationships with a high level of autonomy.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • The ability and willingness to mentor and supervise junior lawyers.
  • A collaborative approach and an interest in contributing to the growth of a smaller office.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to take on a senior role within our growing Brisbane office while benefiting from the support and resources of an established Queensland firm.

You’ll have autonomy over your own matters, access to an experienced Family Law Director to collaborate and share expertise with, the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers, and the chance to play an important role in growing our presence in Brisbane.
