MCJ Earthworks and Construction is a small, family-run earthmoving business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability and getting the job done right. We're on the lookout for an experienced, hardworking all-rounder to join our team!
This is a hands-on role, primarily involving the construction of retaining walls, along with machinery operation, general earthworks and truck driving. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid of physical work, can think one step ahead and takes pride in delivering quality results.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- Construction of sandstone and concrete sleeper retaining walls
- General earthworks and site preparation
- Operating excavators and Posi Track machinery
- Truck Driving to transport machines, cart spoil and materials
- Loading trucks using machinery when required
- General labouring and assisting with day-to-day site works
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in structural landscaping or retaining wall construction
- Experience operating excavators and other earthmoving machinery
- Excavator/Bobcat Tickets - Essential
- HR Truck Licence – Essential
- White Card
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a small team
- Someone who takes initiative, thinks ahead and doesn't need to be constantly told what to do
- Willingness to get in and get the job done, whether that's operating machinery, driving trucks or working on the tools
