We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at the Colmslie Hotel in Morningside, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a diverse range of dishes from our menu.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Carrying out allocated kitchen tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
- Participating in the rotation of kitchen duties and responsibilities.
- Contributing ideas and suggestions to develop and enhance our menu offerings.
- Ensuring a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment at all times.
What we're looking for:
- Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
