Mc Cosker Contracting are seeking applications from Senior HSE Compliance Officers for a project in WA.
This position is a FIFO position on a 2 week on, 1 week off roster base onsite.
In this position you will work individually and in a team environment to support, assist to develop and implement approved procedures and documentation of safety and quality programs to provide continuous improvement in line with State and National legislative requirements.
The HSE Department is responsible to connect with the business to manage, develop and implement clear safety practices for our people to work under, while supporting the business to achieve operational and project goals.
As a HSE Compliance Officer you will be responsible for engaging with site leaders, the workforce and other key stakeholders to enforce Mc Cosker standards for safe employee performance and promoting a safe and productive work culture, while maintaining a positive impact on the community in which we operate.
- This Position Will
- Manage risk and drive a positive safety culture
- Provide HSE supervision of operations to meet project deliverables
- Monitor and manage compliance with safety processes
- Assist to provide rehabilitation services for employees returning to the workforce
- Participate in policies and procedures, including work health and safety
- To Be Successful You Will Have
- Occupational Health and Safety Qualifications (Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety as a minimum)
- Open Drivers Licence
- General Construction Induction (white card)
- Experience in Workplace Health and Safety Advisory or similar role/s
- Strong knowledge of the workplace health and safety framework, including legislation and best practice guides Comprehensive experience in procedure writing and incident investigation procedures
- Well developed written and communication skills
- Knowledge of the civil construction industry (desirable)
- Able to develop, implement, and evaluate high quality programs
