This is a hands-on senior role, leading installations from pre-wire through to commissioning and client handover. You'll plan and organise onsite work, install and configure cinema, audio, video, networking and integrated home systems, set standards for cabling and installation practices, mentor junior technicians, and help clients understand their finished systems.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and organise onsite work, coordinating with builders, electricians and other trades.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot cinema, audio, video, networking and integrated home systems.
- Set the standard for cabling, equipment racks, labelling, testing and installation records.
- Identify issues early and keep the team informed so work moves forward.
- Mentor junior technicians and help build consistent installation practices as the team grows.
- Help clients understand their finished systems and feel confident using them.
About you
- Proven residential AV experience across rough-in, fit-off and system setup.
- Strong understanding of audio, video, networking and how integrated systems work together.
- A methodical approach to fault-finding and pride in your workmanship.
- Clear communication with clients, builders and the people working alongside you.
- The ability to plan ahead, organise site work and guide other technicians.
- Experience with popular control systems such as Control4 and Crestron.
- Experience with respected AV and automation brands is valued.
