As we continue to expand our presence nationally, we are offering an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contract Administrator to join our Sydney team.
This role provides the chance to work in a flexible, supportive and genuinely collaborative environment, with direct access to senior leadership and being backed by a supportive Melbourne team.
The Role
You will play a key role in providing commercial and cost management support across a variety of projects. Please note, this role will be based in Sydney, NSW. This role will involve a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Managing procurement and tendering processes.
- Compiling, assessing, and negotiating submitted tenders, and providing advice on commercial and contractual clarifications.
- Administering head contracts and subcontracts (time, cost, quality, notices).
- Assessing payment claims.
- Preparing cost and revenue forecasts.
- Quantifying and costing construction works.
- Preparing and assessing progress claims.
- Managing variations and change management processes.
- Drafting commercially astute correspondence and reports.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective project delivery.
- Reviewing project records, notices, and evidence for contractual analysis.
- Providing clients with accurate and honest appraisals of their commercial position.
About You
You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Proficiency in procurement and cost management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and correspondence.
