This is a hands-on workshop-based position supporting experienced tradespeople with the repair, overhaul, assembly and maintenance of industrial rotating equipment. The role is predominantly mechanical; however, there will also be a small amount of basic electrical-related work and assistance required.

About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting Mechanical and Electrical Fitters with repairs and overhauls.

Stripping, dismantling and reassembling industrial equipment.

Assisting with bearings, shafts, seals and other mechanical components.
-
Completing basic electrical-related tasks under the direction of qualified tradespeople.

Using hand and power tools throughout the workshop.

Moving and positioning equipment and components.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Mechanical Trade Assistant, Electrical Trade Assistant or Workshop TA.

Good mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools.

Experience working around industrial machinery or rotating equipment highly regarded.

Some electrical knowledge or previous exposure to electrical work would be advantageous.

Experience working alongside Fitters and Electricians.

Gantry/Overhead Crane ticket highly essitional.
