Maxima has a large number of vacancies for motivated Labourers, who want to develop their skills, gain valuable industry experience and build a long-term career. Working through Maxima, you will initially commence on a casual basis, generally for a maximum period of up to 6 months, with the opportunity to transition to a position directly with council. With Council depots located at Boonah, Beaudesert and Canungra, every effort will be made to place you at a depot that is as close to home as possible.
About the Roles
Opportunities are available across Civil Works and Parks & Gardens Maintenance, giving you the opportunity to develop practical skills while working as part of a professional Council team. Working a 76-hour fortnight (Over 9 days) with the possibility of overtime.
Duties include:
- Road signs and road furniture maintenance
- Cold mix bitumen pothole patching
- Operating and assisting with plant and equipment
- Traffic control and work zone activities
- Supporting experienced operators and tradespeople

Minimum Skills and Experience
To be successful in attaining a role, you will need to have:
- An MR Truck Licence (or higher)
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol screening
- Fitness level to undertake outdoor labouring duties
- A willingness to learn and grow as part of a team
- A commitment to working safely
