We are seeking a motivated, mechanically minded and technically capable Field Service Technician to join our team, specialising in the installation and replacement of felts, conveyor belts and associated components used in commercial and industrial laundry equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced person with technical/trade background who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving and working independently.
Key responsibilities
- Installing and replacing industrial felts, narrow conveyor belts and tapes
- Measuring, fitting, joining, tensioning and tracking belts
- Identifying wear, alignment and equipment issues
- Troubleshooting mechanical problems relating to product performance
- Developing expert knowledge of customers' machinery and equipment
- Completing installations safely and to a high standard
- Working independently at customer sites
About you
- A trade background or strong relevant mechanical experience
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Confidence working with tools and industrial machinery
- Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- The ability to work independently
- A willingness to learn and develop specialist technical skills
