This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise!
Our team is a diverse group of high school teachers, corporate professionals, university teaching staff and post graduate candidates and students.
Classes are available after school from 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our convenient locations, which are easily accessible via public transport.
You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment.
Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.
What you'll do...
- Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic school term,
- Ongoing monitoring of student's academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes,
- Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.
What you'll need...
- A genuine passion for teaching,
- Previous experience teaching VCE Chemistry and/or Physics in a classroom setting
- Have extensive knowledge of the current VCE curriculum in science
- Have completed their degree in Education, Science, Engineering or a related discipline
