  • The Company

Marigold is a fast-growing marketing technology company helping growing businesses build stronger customer relationships through its three core platforms: Emma, Campaign Monitor, and Vuture.

We deliver powerful tools for email, SMS, and marketing automation that elevate engagement and drive real results.

Marigold is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with offices in Sydney and London.

The Role

Senior Full Stack Engineers are an integral part of our autonomous, multi-disciplinary product teams, working closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and other software engineers to deliver quality, rock-solid customer experiences and scale our systems for ever-increasing growth.

We work in small teams with clear objectives, which allows for accountability and transparency, and an expectation to support and maintain the software we create, including participation in an on-call rotation.

Note

The majority of the interview process will take place remotely, with one stage conducted in person.

Role

This role is on the Campaign Monitor product, where the technology stack is mainly C#, Java Script, SQL, and Java.

Some of our frontend is still on Backbone. js as we continue migrating toward React, so you'll be working across both as part of that transition.

We're looking to fill roles across a variety of projects, including

  • Event-driven microservices and APIs in a distributed architecture
  • Dynamic web applications (React JS, Node. js, Backbone. js)
  • Infrastructure development on AWS (EC2, ECS, SNS/SQS, RDS, Elasticache, Elasticsearch)
  • Event streaming & big data solutions (Kafka, Spark)
  • Extending and growing our existing feature set

As a senior member of the team, you'll be expected to help shape architecture decisions, raise the bar on code quality through review and mentorship, and take ownership of problems end to end β€” not just implementation, but scoping, tradeoffs, and long-term maintainability.

Essential

About You

  • 10+ years of experience as a software developer.
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field (in lieu of a degree, 3+ years of additional relevant industry experience).
  • Fluency in at least two programming languages, preferably including C#, Java, or Java Script/Type Script.
  • Comfortable using AI-augmented development tools (e. g., Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to write, review, and refactor code faster β€” with the judgment to know when to lean on them and when not to, and without outsourcing critical thinking about design, correctness, or security.
  • Familiarity with a range of storage engines (SQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, RDS offerings) and know when each is the right fit.
  • Data-driven decision making and familiarity with instrumentation techniques.
  • Effective communication skills, via interactive mediums and documentation.
  • You value teamwork and have solid collaboration skills, which are fundamental to how we work at Campaign Monitor.

Desirable

  • Experience in event streaming architecture and stream processing (Kafka, Spark).
  • Solid Ia C experience with Terraform; comfortable picking up other provisioning/config tools as needed.

Haven't mastered everything on that list? That's okay. We heavily weigh potential, a desire for learning, and passion for contributing.

  • Why You'll Love It Here
  • Ultimate Flexibility: Unlimited time off, flexible hours, fully remote work and your birthday off.
  • Parental Leave: Generous parental leave for both parents.
  • Home Office: Setup allowance for new starters.
  • Genuine

Connections: Optional fortnightly team gatherings at We Work offices (lunch on us), culture clubs, an annual Dev Camp to meet the wider team in person, Change Days and Innovation Sprints.

  • Professional Growth: Work at scale with cutting-edge technologies, keep learning, and see a real path forward.
  • Support & Benefits: Employee Assistance Program, wellbeing app, flu vaccinations, salary continuance and life insurance.
