Looking for a supportive private practice where you can do meaningful clinical work, develop your skills and build a role that fits your life?

Marenwood Child & Adolescent Psychology is seeking a General Psychologist to join our collaborative, family-centred private practice in Croydon, Melbourne's outer east, near the Croydon/Ringwood border.

We provide psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents and families. We value thoughtful clinical care, professional development and a working environment where psychologists feel supported, connected and able to do their best work.

Whether you're an early-career psychologist looking to consolidate your clinical skills or an experienced clinician seeking a flexible part-time role, we'd love to hear from you.

What We Offer

Competitive remuneration and performance bonuses

A full-time equivalent salary of $100,000–$115,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience, with an additional performance-based bonus structure.

Flexible part-time working arrangements

Work 2–4 days per week, with flexibility around working hours and a mix of in-clinic appointments and opportunities for telehealth and report writing from home.

Dedicated administrative support

Our virtual assistant team manages client bookings, client onboarding and Medicare rebate processing, helping reduce the administrative demands on clinicians so you can focus on clinical care.

Collaborative caseload planning

Incoming referrals are reviewed before allocation. We work with you to develop a caseload that considers your clinical interests, experience, skills and capacity, while meeting client needs and practice requirements.

Regular supervision and professional development

Access monthly individual clinical supervision, peer consultation, an annual CPD allowance and an individualised approach to professional development that supports your ongoing clinical growth.

A welcoming, collaborative practice environment

Work from a thoughtfully designed, calm clinic space alongside other independent practitioners. We value professional connection, shared learning and a culture where clinicians can seek input, exchange ideas and continue to develop their practice.

Opportunities to grow

As the practice continues to develop, there may be opportunities to expand your days, develop areas of clinical interest and progress into senior, supervisory or leadership responsibilities, depending on your interests and experience.

About the Role

This part-time position is based primarily at our Croydon clinic, with some flexibility for telehealth and report writing from home.

You’ll provide psychological assessment and intervention for children and adolescents aged 0–18 years, working collaboratively with parents, schools and other professionals to support meaningful outcomes for young people and their families.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, low mood, behavioural difficulties, adjustment concerns and related challenges.
  • Conducting psychological assessments and providing appropriate feedback and recommendations.
  • Working collaboratively with parents, schools and other members of a child's support network where appropriate.
  • Maintaining high-quality clinical records, reports and professional documentation.
  • Participating in clinical supervision, peer consultation and ongoing professional development.
  • Managing your clinical workload in line with client needs, professional responsibilities and agreed practice expectation

About You

We're looking for a psychologist who is thoughtful, collaborative and committed to providing high-quality care to children, adolescents and families.

You will have:

  • Current general registration with AHPRA.

  • Clinical experience, or well-developed foundational skills, in working with children, adolescents and/or families.

  • An ability to deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention within your scope of competence.

  • Strong communication, organisation and professional documentation skills.

  • A collaborative approach to clinical practice and an openness to supervision, feedback and continued learning.

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Medicare provider number under the Better Access initiative.

An interest in neurodevelopmental assessment is an advantage, but is not essential if you're motivated to develop your skills in this area.

Practical Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Current general registration with AHPRA.

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.

  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

  • An Australian driver's licence.
