This role involves providing individual support services and direct care for people with disability.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual support services and direct care for people with disability
- Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
- Support with domestic activities and assistance with personal care
- Manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing
- Medication assistance via PEG
- Respiratory support (suctioning, nebuliser, BiPAP overnight)
- Continence care (pads, hygiene, bowel management)
- Skin integrity & pressure care monitoring
- Oral sensorimotor therapy (Z-Vibe program)
- Hourly rate in line with the SCHADS awards
- Flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a diverse community of individuals and families
- Options to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and overnights
About you
- Experienced in PEG feeding and enteral nutrition support
- Ideally from a nursing, medical, allied health, or other clinical background
- Confident following clinical instructions, care plans, and established procedures
- Comfortable supporting complex or higher-care needs
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Experience with complex behavioral situations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent experience)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, and current Australian Driver's Licence, car and insurance
