We are currently seeking three enthusiastic, experienced and hands-on Casual Function & Event Supervisors to join our Events team.
About the Role
As a supervisor, you will play a key role in bringing our clients' visions to life, ensuring every event is delivered seamlessly and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role, not simply a supervisory position.
We are looking for individuals who lead from the front, working alongside their team throughout every stage of an event or function. From setting up function/event spaces, delivering exceptional food and beverage service and packing down, you'll be actively involved in making every event a success.
You'll guide and motivate your team, maintain exceptional service standards and ensure every detail is executed in line with the client's expectations. Above all, you'll take pride in creating memorable experiences, knowing the smallest details can make the biggest difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example, working alongside Function attendants to deliver exceptional service and ensure smooth event execution.
- Take an active role in room setup, food and beverage service, event coordination and pack down.
- Execute events in accordance with function run sheets, client requirements and agreed arrangements.
- Brief, guide and motivate event staff so everyone understands their responsibilities.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients on the day, bringing their vision to life.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively resolve challenges.
- Maintain excellent presentation, cleanliness and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Responsible Service of Alcohol and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
About You
You are a natural leader with a genuine passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable events. You're personable, energetic and approachable, with a positive, can-do attitude.
Most importantly, you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
You understand that great leadership means being part of the team, not simply directing it.
- At least 2 years' experience in an Function & Event Supervisor or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Strong food and beverage experience, ideally in functions, weddings or corporate events.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
- Confidence liaising with clients and managing event requirements.
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative attitude and ability to motivate others.
