About the Role
We are seeking experienced security professionals with proven experience in high-risk, highly structured environments. This role is based at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre, working within a highly structured, operationally sensitive environment. Ideally, you will have a background in at least one of the following:
- Detention or Correctional Services
- Immigration or Border Security environments
- Large-scale, complex security operations (e.g., defence, emergency services, custodial operations, high-risk facilities)
If your background is primarily retail, event, hospitality, or static guarding, this role may not be the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol, monitor, and respond to security concerns
- Maintain safe, respectful conditions for transferees, staff, and visitors
- Operate communication and access-control systems
- Support emergency responses
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Roster: 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off
Travel: FIFO from Brisbane (all travel and accommodation provided)
To be Successful
- Certificate III in Security Operations (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in detention, correctional services, immigration, or large-scale security operations
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks: criminal history, medical, and drug & alcohol screening
- Australian work rights are required for this position
- A clear Australian Federal Police check clearance is required for this role.
