- Position Overview
- Mammoth Underground Mine is seeking an experienced and safety-focused
Underground Mechanical Fitter t o join our underground operations team.
This is a hands-on role maintaining critical mining equipment in a demanding underground coal environment, ensuring reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot underground mining equipment
- Complete planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Work safely and comply with all site procedures and regulations
- Assist with equipment installations and upgrades
- Collaborate with crews to support production targets
About You (Skills & Experience)
- Trade qualification as a Fitter
- Additionalcertifications, such as DES, brake testing, working at heights, or welding and fabrication.
- Underground experience in Development or Cut Flit desirable
