The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced and hands‑on Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Maleny.
This is an opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys fault finding, solving problems and working across a busy food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and identifying practical solutions
- Maintaining pumps, motors, conveyors, valves, pipework and manufacturing equipment
- Supporting equipment installations, modifications and continuous improvement activities
- Completing maintenance records and reporting recurring equipment issues
- Maintaining tools, equipment and maintenance work areas
- Working in accordance with WHS, food safety, GMP and site requirements
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency
About You
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably within food or beverage manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- A practical understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to prioritise competing maintenance demands
- A proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement
- A strong commitment to hygiene, food safety and GMP standards.
