HR Advisor – Employee Relations

Please note: This is a fully office-based position. Candidates applying for this role must be able and willing to work from our Head Office. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys solving complex people challenges, coaching managers and improving HR standards across a growing nursery group. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping our HR function while working alongside a dedicated Head Office team.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

• Advise managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, probation and performance management
• Conduct workplace investigations and prepare recommendations
• Lead HR compliance audits across multiple nursery locations
• Review HR policies and recommend continuous improvements
• Support managers with complex employee matters and organizational change
• Monitor Right to Work, DBS and sponsorship compliance
• Prepare HR risk reports and compliance reports for senior management
• Analyze employee feedback, exit interviews and HR trends to support business improvement

YOU MUST HAVE

• Minimum 4 years' experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role
• Experience managing disciplinary, grievance and performance management cases
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
• Experience advising managers on employee relations matters
• Experience conducting HR investigations and compliance audits
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
• The right to work in the UK
• Desirable
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
• Experience within childcare, education, healthcare or another regulated sector
• Experience with Skilled Worker sponsorships and Home Office compliance
