The predicted salary is between 30 - 33 $ per hour.
We’re looking for a Pizza Chef to run our store on your rostered nights.
You’ll base the dough, lead a small team through the dinner rush, and make sure every pizza that leaves the shop is one you would devour.
Full-time, 38 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday evenings, No Sundays.
What you will do
- Daily completion of dough basing, pizza/product creation with accuracy and efficiently within a team environment. (Dough is made in our central kitchen)
- Opening and closing of the store in a timely manner, using our checklists.
- Contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and cooperation.
- Ensure that products meet the highest quality standards and adhere to recipes, presentation guidelines and OHS (occupational health and safety) requirements.
- Keep food safety, cleaning and OH&S standards up to meet our high quality standards.
- Count stock accurately, place the weekly order with suppliers and plan for catering orders, within budget.
- Prep and deliver catering orders, sometimes outside trading hours, with notice and paid for every hour.
- Play a role in waste management and reduction to ensure wastage is kept under 2% weekly wastage.
- Consistently check the quality of products by testing and tasting; suggestion improvements
- Support the Store Manager with training new staff, stock control and end-of-day reconciliation
What we are looking for
- Available Friday and Saturday nights (essential)
- Pizza or fast-food kitchen experience preferred, but we’ll train the right person
- Some experience leading a shift or team, or a real drive to step into that
- Calm under pressure and a clear communicator
- You care about quality and the customer in front of you
- Driver’s licence and own car (we pay a per-km allowance)
- Flexible to sometimes start early or stay back in busy periods
