The Corporate and Institutional Banking business within the Banking and Financial Services Group partners with Australian corporates across a diverse range of industries, delivering tailored lending, deposit, transactional banking and payment solutions.

We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you're empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.

What role will you play?

The Client Coverage team is responsible for managing and strengthening existing client relationships while providing ongoing portfolio oversight, with a particular focus on lending activities. Working closely with the Coverage Lead (Relationship Manager), you will support the day‐to‐day management of a portfolio of Corporate & Institutional Banking clients across a diverse range of industries. The role involves overseeing annual credit reviews, covenant compliance, risk reporting and ongoing portfolio monitoring to ensure the health and performance of client relationships. You will also support the origination and execution of financing transactions, including conducting financial analysis and modelling for both new and existing lending opportunities.

In addition, you will collaborate with key internal stakeholders—including the Risk Management Group, Legal, Operations and Product Specialists—to facilitate timely credit decisions and transaction execution. The role offers regular client exposure, with opportunities to participate in client meetings, contribute to strategic account planning and identify ways to deepen relationships through value‐added insights and solutions. All activities are carried out in accordance with internal policies, risk frameworks and regulatory requirements, ensuring a strong focus on risk management and governance.

What you offer

3-5 years experience in Corporate and/or Institutional Banking.

  • Demonstrated experience preparing annual reviews, credit submissions and managing ongoing portfolio monitoring activities.
  • Experience with credit processes, including credit paper preparation and financial modelling.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, assess corporate credit risk and evaluate debt servicing capacity.
  • An understanding of corporate lending structures, security arrangements and financial covenants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A team‐oriented mindset, commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to take ownership of outcomes.

We encourage you to apply if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie.
