Who We Are: You might know us as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good. We put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what’s inside that counts – whether that’s an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.

Diversity Matters: We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future. We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!

About the Role: This is a new role, and the first of its kind for Lush in APAC. You will be the link between our APAC operations and the digital teams who build and run our platforms. You will take a vision and will work out what it means for our systems, teams, customers and processes. You'll turn it into detailed, comprehensive plans that our dev teams can build from. The work will cover a mix of ecommerce and retail systems including our loyalty programme, point of sale and stock systems, web and app ecommerce platforms, manufacturing systems, and internal tools. This is a hands-on role that is part technical mastery and part communications expert, all with a project management flair. As well as working with stakeholders, you will spend time deep in our platforms and data, testing changes, finding ways forward, and looking into issues yourself before they reach engineering. This role is based in Sydney and will be working with market teams across the region as well as with Lush Digital colleagues in the UK, Europe, and North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Digital leadership, stakeholders and developers to bring vision to reality.
  • Work with stakeholders across our APAC markets to determine the requirements for changes to legal, financial, technical and operational processes.
  • Create, manage and maintain detailed tickets of work for our development teams.
  • Capture, analyse and document requirements, then support communication and delivery.
  • Assess how new features and products will affect our systems, processes and data, both local and global.
  • Carry out cost-benefit analysis, including the associated risks.
  • Support administration and configuration of platforms.
  • Test changes before they go live, and look into issues before escalation.
  • Identify where we can use the systems and features we already have before building something new.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Experience defining solutions within a technical development environment.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, testing and troubleshooting digital platforms and integrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work professionally with engineers, international teams and subject matter experts.
  • Experience liaising with and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • A highly organised, logical and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise competing work.
  • Able to work well with a team spread across countries and time zones, hosting and joining online calls.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity with pragmatism.

Our Perfect Match Is:

  • Experienced in retail or consumer brand ecommerce.
  • Familiar with ecommerce platforms such as Saleor and Adyen, and ticketing tools such as Linear or Jira.
  • Able to speak Japanese, Mandarin or Cantonese. A bonus, not essential.
  • Friendly, kind and approachable.
  • Able to work from our Villawood office on a hybrid basis.

Benefits:

  • 50% discount on LUSH products to keep you smelling and feeling fresh.
  • A welcome pack of LUSH products.
  • Paid day off for your birthday.
  • Profit-based bonus.
  • We’re 10% Employee Owned - all colleagues play a role in protecting our ethics, our independence, contributing ideas for the future, and share in the rewards of success when the company is doing well.
  • Company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program with free access to psychological, financial, legal and dietary advice.
