Our Waurn Ponds Estate hospitality team is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen team.

Reporting to the Chef in Charge, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen while assisting with food preparation and service.

Your key responsibilities will be to

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and maintain kitchen floors, including sweeping, scrubbing and mopping
• Keeping the kitchen, dish area, and storage areas clean and organised
• Organise and maintain pantry shelving
• Remove hard rubbish and kitchen food waste using our closed-loop compost machine
• Assist with basic food preparation and food service tasks as required
• Adhere to health and hygiene standards at all times

To be successful, you'll have

• Minimum 6 months experience in food preparation and or food service
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach
• The role requires the incumbent to apply and maintain a Working with Children Check
• Availability required between 9.30am to 8.00pm
