We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven State Operations Manager to lead transport operations, drive safety and compliance, and build strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities
- Operational Leadership – Manage transport operations, safety risk management, and fleet maintenance.
- Team & Resource Management – Lead and develop staff, ensuring efficient use of key reporting systems and KPIs.
- Customer & Business Development – Strengthen relationships with key clients, ensuring high service levels and profitability.
- Compliance & Safety - Ensure adherence to NHVAS policies, fatigue management, and chain of responsibility legislation.
- Continuous Improvement – Contribute to business growth and process improvements.
About you
- At least five years’ experience leading a transport operations team.
- Experience in transport/logistics management, ideally with an outsourced logistics provider or a large manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of industrial relations, compliance regulations, and safety management.
- Ability to analyse reports, manage profitability, and drive operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate IT proficiency and familiarity with logistics platforms.
