We are seeking an Employment Lawyer to join an established legal practice in Melbourne, advising on employment law matters and helping clients navigate complex workplace issues. This is an opportunity for a motivated legal professional to work across a range of employment law matters, build strong client relationships and contribute to practical, commercially focused legal outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Advising employers and employees on employment law matters.
- Providing advice on employment contracts, workplace policies and employee entitlements.
- Assisting with unfair dismissal, general protections and workplace disputes.
- Managing matters involving disciplinary processes, performance management and termination of employment.
- Drafting legal correspondence, advice and other relevant documentation.
- Representing or assisting clients in negotiations, conciliation and dispute resolution.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
What we're looking for:
- A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
- Admission as an Australian legal practitioner, with a current practising certificate or eligibility to hold one.
- Experience in employment law or workplace relations.
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and client management abilities.
- A practical, commercially minded approach to resolving legal issues.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
