About the role:
Our established and growing team is looking for a Carpenter with at least one year of experience.
The position will offer a competitive base salary of $75,000-$80,000 plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts.
- Cutting materials, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.
- Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
- Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls, ensuring they are levelled and compatible.
- Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
- Erecting framework, roof framing and verifying the trueness of structures.
- Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames.
- Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.
- Cutting wood joints and repair existing fittings.
- Compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations.
Appropriate candidates must have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Hold a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate III in Carpentry.
- Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Ability to carry out carpentry and formwork duties to a high standard across residential and commercial construction projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
