About LME Care
At LME Care we actively pursue our value of βLiving Our Best Livesβ. This is true for our participants, our employees and all stakeholders that we interact with. To support this value, we have a culture driven by respect, which guides our daily behaviours.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our Supported Independent Living team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of day-to-day operations, mentoring support workers, championing participant wellbeing, and ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are maintained across your homes. This role requires a male Team Leader, as some participants are unable to receive support from female staff due to their individual support needs. This is a hands-on leadership role where your compassion, accountability, and commitment to our values will directly shape the lives of the people we support.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and day-to-day supervision to a team of support workers across SIL homes.
- Act as the first point of contact for support workers, participants, and families, fostering open and respectful communication.
- Ensure all supports are delivered in a person-centred way, aligned with each participant's NDIS plan and individual goals.
- Oversee compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and LME Care's internal policies to maintain safe and consistent service delivery.
- Respond promptly to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and escalations, completing all required documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with allied health professionals, support coordinators, and families to support holistic participant outcomes.
- Coach and develop support workers through regular check-ins, on-the-job guidance, and performance conversations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the quality, safety, and experience of care.
What You'll Bring
- Genuine alignment with LME Care's values, especially empathy, respect, and empowering all stakeholders to live their best lives.
- Appropriate experience, leadership, and qualifications within the disability, aged care, or community services sector.
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS, person-centred approaches, and relevant legislation.
Why Join LME Care?
- Be part of a growing, purpose-driven organisation that genuinely puts people first.
- Access a dedicated full-time trainer and Registered Nurse support structure, because we invest in our team.
- Competitive remuneration - Award Rate 4.1.
- Meaningful work where your leadership directly improves people's lives every single day.
- Opportunities for professional development and career growth within a rapidly expanding provider.
