AOD Youth Counsellor / Case Manager - Lithgow Job in Lithgow, Blue Mountains & Central West NSW - SEEK
Responsibilities
- Providing counselling and therapeutic support to young people.
- Completing assessments and developing individual support plans.
- Supporting young people to identify strengths, goals and pathways forward.
- Delivering outreach support across Lithgow and surrounding communities.
- Facilitating youth-focused groups and education programs.
- Working closely with families, schools and community partners.
- Connecting young people to additional supports and services where required.
- Maintaining client records and contributing to service improvement activities.
Requirements
- Experience supporting young people within health, community services, AOD or mental health settings.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, person-centred and recovery-oriented practice.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive change.
Mandatory Requirements
- Working with Children Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or a related discipline.
