We are seeking an Accounts Clerk to support our finance department with daily accounting tasks. As part of a team providing financial and accounting support to the business, you will report to the Financial Controller and focus mainly on Accounts Payable. You will also help with other day-to-day finance work, including bank transactions, bank reconciliations and account reconciliations, to keep the company's financial records timely and accurate.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Enter Accounts Payable invoices into the invoice approval system
- Check and Process payment of refunds and reimbursements
- Process Accounts Payables batch payments
- Supplier reconciliations and reporting
- Manage Accounts inbox and queries
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with cash flow planning and review of daily banking transactions
- Provide support to wider finance team
About you
- Excellent time management skills & a capability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite
- Reconciling supplier accounts and statements
- Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Blue Card or apply for and obtain one before commencing employment.
