The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Box Maker / Forklift Driver to join our Lindsay Rural team in Bundaberg on a Full-time basis. This role would suit a mechanically minded person as you will also be maintaining the box machine. No prior experience is required - this is an opportunity to learn and start a career, keeping our warehouse moving along.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Safe and appropriate operation of the Box Machine to produce cartons.
- Pre-checks, manual configuration, ongoing maintenance & cleaning of the machine.
- Quality checking of cartons and stack & store in appropriate manner.
- Unloading/loading trucks with the forklift - if valid licence & experience held.
- General housekeeping of yard and warehouse.
About you:
- Current and valid Forklift ticket.
- Prior experience in a similar environment, use of Box Machine highly regarded but not essential.
- Mechanical background advantageous.
- Good attention to detail with a strong customer service focus.
- Good work ethic, reliability and good communication skills.
- Able to take direction, work under pressure and to ever changing timelines.
- Have a commitment to workplace health and safety.
To be successful for this role applicants must:
- Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test.
- Be flexible and able to work over weekends as required.
- Able to work in and around chemical, fertilizer, nutrient and packaging.
