Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Security Specialist. In this role you will deliver enterprise security administration, infrastructure support and operational advice across a complex technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer, build and support firewalls, application delivery controllers, secure gateways, cloud security environments, routers and switches.
Monitor service performance against service levels and recommend improvements.
Prepare performance reports, technical documentation and security procedures.
Provide user advice, written reports and knowledge transfer to technology personnel.
Liaise with technology suppliers on security and infrastructure matters.
Support cross-team collaboration and operational rosters during core business hours.
Participate in after-hours on-call and out-of-hours system support.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive and ethical workplace culture.
About You
Demonstrated security administration experience across large enterprise networks.
Experience engineering, building and administering cloud security services across major cloud environments.
Experience with firewalls, application delivery controllers, secure email gateways, external access environments or security edge technologies.
Knowledge of network security, encryption, security risk and compliance, and the ITIL framework.
Strong technical report writing, presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.
Availability to participate in after-hours support and an on-call roster, with required employment screening if applicable.
