Our enterprise client, a leading provider of high-quality, diverse datasets for AI model development, is recruiting participants for an egocentric (first-person) video data collection project supporting AI research.
They are looking for people who work in, or own a commercial business environment and are willing to record first-person video of themselves performing everyday work tasks using a lightweight, forehead-mounted camera (headband style). This data will help train physical AI models to better understand real-world, hands-on work in commercial settings.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Wear a small camera on a headband, you'll record yourself naturally performing tasks you'd normally do in your business, such as:
- Making and serving coffee or other drinks (cafΓ©/coffee shop)
- Baking, decorating, or packaging goods (bakery kitchen)
- Arranging, wrapping, or preparing flowers and bouquets (flower shop)
- Prepping ingredients, cooking, or plating (restaurant kitchen)
- Other everyday commercial tasks specific to your business (we have a list of hundreds of different tasks and business activities that can be performed)
These are examples only. We have a list of hundreds of eligible tasks across a wide range of industries and commercial workplaces. The opportunity is open to businesses in all industries except factories. Please note that residential or household tasks are not eligible.
Videos should range from 1 minute to a maximum of 15β20 minutes per clip, capturing natural, uninterrupted task performance.
Requirements:
- A business owner, OR someone with full, documented consent from the business owner to film on-site
- Comfortable wearing a camera and working naturally while being recorded
- Able to commit to a set number of recording hours (you'll tell us how many hours you can realistically deliver, e.g., 50 hours)
- Available for a short calibration call before recording begins to review instructions, expectations, and privacy requirements
- Multiple employees at the same business are welcome to participate β variety across people in one environment is a plus (e.g., 3β4 staff each contributing 10β15 hours)
Privacy and consent are assured for this role. Detailed guidelines and requirements will be provided to you before you begin working.
An hourly rate will be paid per recorded, usable video (prorated). Total payment is tied to the committed environment and hours discussed during onboarding.
Coordination Role (Optional, Additional Pay):
If you're a business owner or manager with access to multiple employees who could take part, you may be asked to help with light coordination duties, such as:
- Helping build out or refine the list of tasks to be recorded within your environment
- Coordinating scheduling and logistics with other individuals doing the recording (if not you personally)
- Acting as the main point of contact between your team and our Project Managers
This coordination work is separate from recording time and will be compensated in addition to your per-hour video rate. This is flexible on how this is structured (flat fee, hourly, or per-person coordinated) - further discussion can be shared with the client.
Ideal Candidate:
- A business owner, OR someone with full, documented consent from the business owner to film on-site
- Comfortable wearing a camera and working naturally while being recorded
- Able to commit to a set number of recording hours (you'll tell us how many hours you can realistically deliver, e.g., 50 hours)
- Available for a short calibration call before recording begins to review instructions, expectations, and privacy requirements
- Multiple employees at the same business are welcome to participate β variety across people in one environment is a plus (e.g., 3β4 staff each contributing 10β15 hours)
