About the role
We are seeking a talented Senior Clinical Support Leader/Dental Assistant who will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the Dental Assistant team to ensure smooth clinical operations. You will work closely with the Practice Manager at Lifelong Dental in Lara, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining high-quality patient care and infection control compliance working closely alongside our Clinicians. You will play a key role in building scalable, high-performance solutions that drive innovation, improve efficiency, and support the delivery of exceptional dental services. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to healthcare and provide hands on dental assisting support in a patient centred environment whilst working with a collaborative and innovative team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support the Dental Assistant team.
- Provide chairside assistance and exceptional patient care.
- Manage orthodontic workflows and treatment coordination.
- Maintain infection control, clinical compliance, and treatment room readiness.
- Oversee stock control, equipment management, and ordering.
- Support patient communication, follow-up, and front office operations.
- Lead, engage and motivate the Dental Assistant team to foster a positive, high-performing, and patient-focused culture.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant with demonstrated leadership or coordination experience.
- The ability to engage, motivate, and support a team to achieve high standards of performance and patient care.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to mange competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- A thorough understanding of infection control, clinical protocols, and dental procedures.
- Experience coordinating workflows and maintaining efficient day-to-day clinical operations.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
