Love the law but ready for a better lifestyle? Curious about AI and emerging legal tech? This could be your next chapter. We help leading law firms embed trusted legal AI into daily practice.

At LexisNexis, we're more than a legal and professional services company — we're a team of thinkers, doers, and problem solvers. With 11,800 colleagues in over 150 countries, we're using cutting-edge technology, including AI, to power real change in the legal and compliance industries.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Lawyer or a Legal Counsel who'd like to take their legal career in a new direction – away from long hours and towards high-impact, client-facing work in legal innovation. This is a relationship-driven, lawyer-to-lawyer role, where you'll operate across both pre-sales and post-sales activity within top-tier law firm and corporate accounts.

You will play a key role in a global drive to adoption and engagement of Lexis Nexis Protégé - our AI-powered legal platform that brings together legal research, drafting, and analysis in one seamless experience.

You will engage directly with lawyers, heads of department and practice area heads to secure support and endorsement for Protégé adoption. This is a permanent, full-time position and can be based in Sydney or Melbourne with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive adoption of Protégé (AI-powered legal platform) in top accounts by working lawyer-to-lawyer with senior legal stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with practice leaders and translate workflow priorities into practical AI-enabled solutions.
  • Deliver high-impact demonstrations that show how AI (Protégé) improves legal work and outcomes.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Directors to research prospects and execute pursuit strategies that build senior-level relationships and create new business opportunities (pre-sales activities).
  • Capture customer insights in CRM and feed learnings back to the business to shape engagement and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Legally qualified professional (essential).
  • 5 years' experience as a practicing lawyer, legal counsel or barrister.
  • Strong interest in moving beyond traditional practice into AI, legal tech or innovation.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and how it can transform legal workflows.
  • Experience in client-facing, advisory, or stakeholder engagement roles (pre/post-sales experience beneficial but not essential).
  • Background in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team (highly regarded).
  • Strong executive presence with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting, facilitating, or demonstrating solutions — or a willingness to develop these skills.
